Mason Jar Light

The idea for this light came from another Blog I found with detailed instructions. @http://karapaslaydesigns.blogspot.com/2010/03/diy-mason-jar-chandelier.html
The cost for me to make this light was apx $67
The rough draft is the pic of all clear jars hanging in my garage (as I was deciding what else to do to my light.) I decided to remove a few jars and then took an idea from a Pintrist Post on adding color to your mason jars using mod podge and food coloring.

The first photo of my jars is how they look while they cure....To do this to your jars you will need mod podge and food coloring. You will add apx 1 inch deep glue into your jar and a few drops of food coloring. Stir well then roll your jar around until coated entirely. You then need to turn your jars upside down to dry. I placed mine on a cookie rack with an old kitchen towel underneath, to catch any glue drips. It took apx 2 days for my jars to cure.
I had tested the BLUE jar first. That is the one clear jar among the cloudy jars. I then hung up my light fixture in my walk in closet... OK my husband did!!!! But I must say I LOVE IT!!!!
by the way this is my first BLOG and my FIRST POST>>> I hope I did OK. Thanks for looking, Tina : )
